What is so hard about flushing a toilet? My three potty trained kids seem to struggle with that concept. There are two options that they seem to choose from. Of course, neither of those include "use the facility, flush once, and wash your hands."
1) Walk away without flushing. This leads to the next kid refusing to use that toilet because it isn't flushed or finding the darkest lemonade you have every seen halfway through the day or trying to locate that mysterious smell in the house and finally pinpointing it the unflushed treasure in the bathroom.
2) Use an excessive amount of TP (like half a roll) and then trying repeatedly to flush it all down. Finally after 5 flushes or so, they give up and walk away. Ironically this leads to the same consequences as #1.
They all insist on their "privacy" and don't want any help. Hopefully, this is just a stage. My grandma says that every stage is just two weeks. Hopefully that two weeks is up soon.

I have the same problem at my house. My phase in going on 2 weeks x10.
Hmmm, Lisa, we seem to have the opposite problem. My kids (those who can walk) are obsessed with flushing, and if I let him, the Z-monster flushes 2 or 3 times each time he needs to.
Where's the happy medium?
