Tonight,
Mana got an extra dose of the crazy American Burns. We went for a nice walk/wagon ride/bike ride to the pond down the street from our house. Along the way we couldn't help but stop 20 feet in front of the speed check sign with no cars in sight.

We spent the next 20 minutes taking turns seeing who could go the fastest. As hard as Jake, Caleb, and Abby tried, they couldn't get it to register.
Aly clocked a 5 mph on her bike,
AJ ran at 8 mph, myself at 12 mph, and Al won with 13 mph. I do have to add that had I not been running in flip-flops, I like to think it would have been a tie.
We didn't realize how peculiar the situation really was until halfway through the races when we noticed the odd expression on
Mana's face. By that time the kids were too involved to stop. I do think that
Mana was glad that she still has to take it easy on her leg so that we didn't ask her to do her own time trial.

I can only imagine what this girl is thinking---- You guys are awesome! I love how fun your family is!! She will never want to go home!
I love reading your blog- you make it all seem so easy. I am going to track down your email address from someone because I need to learn all of your tricks for getting all of your toddlers to behave so well in Sacrament meeting. Next winter we will have a 2 1/2 year old, a one year old and a new baby- so I need to start working on a game plan ASAP. You are truly amazing.
The secret three parts:
#1- Never let your baby/ toddler/ child to touch the floor the entire meeting- not for coloring, sleeping, playing, etc. If they never know the floor is an option they learn to sit on the bench.
#2- Make going out in the hall a miserable experience. Vacant room, make them sit on a chair, and explain how much there is to do back in the chapel.
#3- Constantly evaluate what you are taking to keep the kids occupied and change it up. The same thing over and over again bores anyone!
Best of Luck! Some Sundays everything works like a charm, so are awful.
I love it! I truly wish I could read her thoughts... I'm sure she will have some good stories to tell when she gets home.
