Some people count to 10 to calm down. I count to 5 too many times a day as it is just to ensure all my kids are accounted for. I discovered a new technique last night.
In the midst of a crazy night, Abby pooped in her underwear. I had a friend that would just throw them away, not such a bad idea. However, she didn't have a WaterPic Shower Hose like we do. It resembles hosing down an elephant, but it takes almost all touching out of the equation, a definite plus.
As I headed upstairs to begin the treacherous chore, I noticed a pixi stick in the pantry (probably someones leftover Valentine). I figured I would need some extra energy. The pixi stick and I headed upstairs. Strangely, I found serenity as I sat on a stool next to the bathtub mentally preparing for the task at hand and filling my mouth with sugary sweet sugar. Something about a pixi stick that seems not right (my mom always got mad at me for eating straight brown sugar), but is so soothing.
I am now contemplating a bulk order of pixi sticks! There are plenty of reasons around this house to need some extra serenity.

They need chocolate ones. If pixi sticks are a good source of serenity, and chocolate releases happy endorphins... they need to make chocolate ones!!
I sneak a teaspoon of brown sugar every once in a while, too. Becca says that is weird. But she eats chocolate and peanut butter chips out of the cupboard sometimes. I guess when you grow up in a dentist household, you have to find creative ways to get a little sugar in your system.
Are you out of your mind?!! 100 pixi sticks + 4:00 AM dance party in the bedrooms = BAD NEWS!! Come on, you know it's bound to happen! :)
I agree, there is something magical about a pixi stick. What is Peter Pan says, faith, trust, and a little pixi dust. Must be the same concept.
