At least, that is what Abby's speech therapist calls it. This morning before therapy, we met up with some friends at a nearby rest home, sang some songs, visited, and did a craft with them. The kids loved getting all the extra attention and the older people (I have to be careful ,now that my parents are on the other side of the hill and acting like it, that I don't offend them) enjoyed talking to the kids and absorbing some of their energy.
We got home just in time to meet the therapists at the door. Since the therapy is in-home, the ideal situation is for the older 3 kids to watch a movie quietly in the basement and Jake to sit quietly in my lap while I observe/help Abby. Most days it goes like that except the quietly part.
Today was crazy! There was someone screaming/fighting for almost the entire 60 minutes. I was running around trying to put out one fire after another. Next time we will have to stay home and sing songs to the kids' grandparents on the phone.
