Top 5 Signs it was a good campout

This weekend was the first official Burns Family Campout. It went surprisingly well. We didn't have much faith as we went to a campground 10 minutes from our house.

#5 You are greeted by season-long camper residents, Ken & Barbie.

#4 You get awaken at 3:30 when the college kids next door decide to go to bed and then again at 4:30 and every 15 minutes after that when you hear a roster cock-a-doodle-doing.


#3 The country store in the campground gives you a two for one special because the clerk realizes that the milk you just bought to pour onto your cereal expired 2 days ago.


#2 You get to watch your husband reenact The Three Little Pigs as he huffs and puffs and blows to get more oxygen into the fire before realizing that he needs to raise the fire pit up on rocks.


#1 The 1 year old learns how to make a flaming sword out of a marshmallow and stick.
