For the past 3 1/2 years I haven't had to face reality on how many kids I actually have. My pregnancy with Jake was so up in the air that I didn't count him until he was actually born. And then there are the girls. Since December 2005, we have ridden the foster care roller coaster. It had looked like we would be able to adopt both girls but no one knew for sure. There was one point when we needed a new vehicle that I wasn't sure if we needed one for 4 or 7.
Friday everything changed. As of 11:27 AM CST, I am a mother of 5 great kids. I can't even type that without feeling emotional. What a blessing to have my little girls a permanent part of our lives. Now I get to begin worrying about what we do about conflicting activities, homework, birthday parties, driver's licenses, insurance, etc. It should be an exciting 16 years!
Our attorney mentioned that due to some funky laws, that the birth certificates will indicate that I gave birth to a child in December, then 8 months later another child in August, and then 2 1/2 months later another child in October. At least all of the births occurred at the same hospital. I wonder when the Mayo Clinic will call to research gestational cycles.

CONGRATS!!!!!! I'm so happy for you. No more foster care roller coaster. Were you out here or were you able to do it in Ohio? Wish I could have been there. Next stop-the temple-how cool is that!!
