Today was AJ's 6th Birthday. Al is out of town for a conference, so I took the easy way out. We had a birthday dinner at McDonalds. I was enjoying the free time while the kids were all playing in the playland. Then, 4 year old Emma came and sat by me. She was a chatty little girl that wanted to sit as close as possible to me. She kept ignoring my suggestions to go and play.
I am still trying to figure out how I was giving out the "I-want-to-be-your-friend" vibe, when I really don't like kids that don't belong to me (or the state of Nebraska). I really don't have anything against other children; I just am not a kid person.
Just as my luck would have it, Emma parents decided that it was time to go just a couple of minutes before the kids were ready to leave.
