I never have lunch when the kids do. It just always seems so hectic, it is easy and more relaxing to eat during their "quiet time." What usually happens is I don't get to lunch until 1:30 or 2. For a break in the routine, while the kids were eating, I made myself a terrific deli sandwich. I sat at the table and had two bites and thought, "I should do this more often."
Just then, I had to go upstairs to motivate AJ to get ready for school (a whole different story). After an exhausting 5 minutes upstairs, I came back down ready to enjoy lunch. To my surprise, all that was left of my lunch was a couple little pieces of bread and some lettuce. Did I mention that I had used the last two pieces of bread? The thieves were found guilty by smudges of mustard on their shirts. History would make one guess that Caleb was involved, nope! Aly and Abby.

I am a sandwich lover, so I know that I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to swipe a ready made 'sandy'. Smart kids you have.
