Welcome to Deutschland

After countless frozen computer moments last fall, we broke down and purchased a new computer. We can't entirely blame the computer for its demise. The kids felt like it was just another toy. The idea was the kids could have the old computer and they would stay away from the new one. Good ideas are easy to come by, it's the implementation that is killer. AJ and Aly actually do use their computer. Jake loves to turn off the power on the new one. Abby loves to throw the keyboard and mouse on the floor. Caleb likes to see how many things he can click.

Apparently someone here (most likely Caleb) is trying to learn a second language. Anything related to google (blogger, gmail, searching) is in Dutch. Dutch spellchecker just doesn't like my English typing. Try as we may we can not get the defaults back. Part of our problem stems from the fact we can't read any of the help screens. It appears that the solution might just be to learn some Dutch. Now just to find the time.

Oh Lisa, your kids and mine probably shouldn't ever meet. Z can already shut down windows xp in 5 keystrokes.

To get your google back in order you need to log in to google and go to www.google.com. (you have to be logged in for this to work) To the right of the search field, you will see three links. The bottom link should say 'Taalhulpmiddelen'. The page that takes you to is the language tools page. Scroll down to the fourth blue bar, a section titled 'Google in uw eigen taal gebruiken' you will see a list of language links. English is 'Engels'. Once you click on that, it should return you to the google main page, and everything should be in english. Good Luck.
