Road Trip Legends

A favorite family legend growing up was about my parents driving straight from St. Louis back to Utah. My brother and I were just little and once we had fallen asleep my parents didn't want us to wake up when they needed to switch drivers and so they learned how to "safely" change drivers along the interstate without stopping. An interesting feat indeed.

What is it about doing anything to not wake sleeping kids? Last night I had to pee for five hours but refused to stop for fear of waking up the precious darlings. I was relieved to finally pull into our driveway.
