Oprahitis

I have made it a point for the last six years, that whenever an Oprah show is on that interests me, I watch it. I think that is a right that every stay at home mom should have. Perhaps my kids have watched a little too much.

This morning, Aly yelled from the family room, "Caleb. Abby. Come sit on the couch and talk to me." She made them set on a different couch then her and "interviewed" them on a variety of topics for over ten minutes. The really odd thing is that they sat there and listened to her questions. Maybe I should try to interview technique when I need them to listen to me!

Your kids let you sit down and watch Oprah? Do you set them up with something else to do? How does this work? Enlighten me, oh wise one!

I also had a very scary thought the other day. I was doing laundry and then got to thinking about your "numbers" post. I don't think I even want to know the answer... how many loads of laundry do you do each week?

I usually just sit on the floor and play whatever they want to play. I can't say that I can hang onto every word that Oprah says, but I get the basic just. Also, I only watch the shows that really interest me, so it is only 1-2 times a week.

Laundry: we used to be at 14 loads a week and a 17 hour day. Thanks to my new front loading washer and amazing dryer we are down to 9 loads and a 8 hour day (Bleach Whites, Regular Whites, Grays & Beiges, Pink, Blue, Scrubs, Jeans, Towels, and Darks x2). The upgrade was completely worth it!
