McDonald's Milestone

This week has been AJ's spring break. We have tried to do something fun each day. Today was lunch at McDonald's. Previously, eating there invokes more than one "serenity now." Yesterday my kids all held hands walking in, stood quietly in line with me, calmly walked to a booth, ate without much noise or throwing fries, and then the four oldest play in the playland while I played with Jake. I was in such shock, we stayed almost 2 hours. Sure, there was a "don't drink the catsup" and "don't suck on those shoes" here and there but maybe everyone getting older isn't such a bad thing!
